EPA to propose drinking water standard

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KYMA, KECY)- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is looking to propose a national drink water standard.

Currently, the PFAS in water also known as "Forever Chemicals," include chemicals that don't break down easily and have been linked to kidney and liver cancer.

The Environmental Protection Agency is seeking public comments in hopes of regulating two of the chemicals.
