Change a child’s story, become the next CASA volunteer

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)-The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in Yuma is looking for volunteers to represent abused and neglected children in the courtroom and other settings.

Lend your voice this Saturday, February 15, from 9 am- 2 pm at the Juvenile Justice Center and become a CASA volunteer!

News 11 was able to speak with a family who was helped by a CASA volunteer on the importance of having this in place.

According to CASA's website, last year more than 86,900 CASA volunteers helped 280,300 abused and neglected children find safe permanent homes.
