SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- Since the start of 2020, the San Luis Fire Department (SLFD) says the vast majority of opioid overdoses involve minors.

So far, the city's seen 8 overdoses, 7 of which involved minors. In 2019, SLFD says it handled more than 40 on school campuses alone.

Firefighters say the big difference so far this year, is the gender of the patients. And, first responders say, those they treat are getting younger.
