Security camera captures moment bus flips

HAMERSVILLE, Ohio (KYMA, KECY) - A school bus runs off the road and flips in southeastern Ohio, and a security captures the dramatic moment on camera.

Police say 13 students were on board when a substitute driver ran off the side of a narrow road and into a ditch. The driver then over-corrected, and that's when the bus flipped onto its side.

One mom said she panicked when she heard the sirens while waiting for her daughters at the bus stop.

"And just seeing the whole like black bottom of the bus and I told him I was like 'It rolled over!' And at that point me and the principal took off running." said Stacie Holcomb.

Paramedics took two students to the hospital, but neither was critically injured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says it cited the driver for failing to control her vehicle.
