Medical episode leads to death of mother, 4 month old child

Bodies of Tempe woman and baby discovered Saturday evening

TEMPE, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Police have released new information on the tragic death of a Tempe woman and her 4-month-old daughter.

Tempe police say 38-year-old Larinique Meadows' boyfriend discovered her and the baby's bodies around five Saturday evening. Police say neither showed any signs of foul play.

Azfamily.com now reports the baby appears to have died from suffocation. Investigators believe Meadows suffered a heart condition, then collapsed on top of her baby.

Police say Meadows had been researching symptoms connected with chest pain just before her collapse.
