New meet-up spot in Somerton for online buyers to exchange purchases
SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY): Somerton Police Department are making an effort to keep the community safe.
A new meet-up spot has been located in the west parking lot of Somerton City Hall. This serves as a safer option for online consumers to make exchange purchases and other legal transactions.
The spot was purposely placed at city hall because it is well-lit and monitored through video surveillance.
SPD does remind the community to be cautious when meeting with any stranger in an online purchase exchange. They say if you feel something suspicious, simply walk away and report it.
