Yuma among top counties in Arizona for business growth

New study puts city in 4th place across the state

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A new study ranks Yuma County among those experiencing the most business growth in Arizona.

Financial tech company SmartAsset examined growth in the number of businesses in each county over a four year period. It also looked at factors like gross domestic product, new building permits, and federal funding.

Here's how Yuma stacked up against other counties:

1. Maricopa County - 6.1% growth
2. Pinal County - 5.3% growth
3. Yavapai County - 5.0% growth
4. Yuma County - 3.9% growth
5. Coconino County - 3.8%

Mojave, Navajo, Santa Cruz, Pima, and La Paz counties rounded out the top ten.
