YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - Are you a victim of a robocall or a scam?

Arizona is ranked sixth in the country out of all the states bothered by robocalls, according to letstalk.com.

Janet Torricellas with the Better Business Bureau has tips about not falling for these scams.

“If someone is pressuring you to give personal information, it is a scam,” Torricellas said.

She also said it's easy to use common sense when these calls happen.

“Is the IRS really going to call and leave a message?" Torricellas said. "Is a local sheriff office going to call and leave a message?”

Torricella adds that seniors are most at risk for these scams.

If you receive a robocall, call the Better Business Bureau and let them know. Also, call local law enforcement, especially if money is involved.
