Gunman in deadly Texas church shooting identified
FORT WORTH, Texas (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - The gunman from the deadly church shooting in Texas has been identified.
Police say a 43-year-old man was the person who walked into the sanctuary and sat among the congregation.
In the video you can see the 43-year-old exchange words with someone and soon after pull out a shotgun, where he fired twice.
It only took seconds for armed members of the church's volunteer security team to respond, by fatally shooting the suspect.
Jack Wilson was the brave security guard who said he fired the round that took the shooter down.
Wilson describes the moment he saw the shooter enter the home, and immediately a red flag was raised when he noticed he was wearing a wig and fake beard.
Officials have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
The shooting comes after 26 people were killed at a First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas two years ago. Members started the security team to protect their sanctuary.
