Firefighters rescue dog from flooded canyon

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - Firefighters in San Diego carried out a daring rescue to save a dog trapped in a canyon.

It happened Friday night, while the dog was out on a walk with its owner.

The 115 pound mastiff named Bruno ended up getting stuck in 30-foot deep canyon after chasing a rabbit over an embankment.

The owner called 911, hoping Bruno could be saved from the flooded canyon.

After two hours of working in darkness, Firefighters were able to pull Bruno out using a harness, reuniting him with his owner.

Thankfully, Bruno wasn't hurt during the ordeal.
