TRAFFIC UPDATE: CHP escorting vehicles along I-8
IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif.(KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- UPDATE
The California Highway Patrol said vehicles are being allowed to go through westbound from Imperial Highway to San Diego County.
Vehicles are being escorted by CHP and if you are driving a motorcycle, please do not attempt to pass other vehicles.
CHP advises motorists to follow the other vehicles in line.
Use caution in the area.

For those traveling using the Interstate 8, be advised that it is currently closed both east and west from Imperial Highway Thursday.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated the freeway will be closed until further notice due to rain and snow.
CHP said multiple vehicles are stuck in traffic on the interstate due to the weather.
