Light rain expected for Christmas Eve

christmas eve forecast

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY, KSWT)- A series of weather systems will yield unsettled weather conditions across the Southwest much of the week.

The two main periods of rainfall will be Tuesday, and again Thursday into early Friday.

Periods of steady rainfall and possibly a few embedded thunderstorms will be likely.

A few flood prone areas may experience issues with these systems.

Higher terrain snowfall will also be possible later this week, especially across Joshua Tree National Park.

Temperatures will hover in a below normal range through the weekend.
