Area plagued by heavy rain, flooding, and landslides

BELLVUE, Wash. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - Heavy rain caused flooding and landslides throughout western Washington on Friday.

In Bellvue, rising waters shutdown streets. Elsewhere landslides and mudslides closed roads, and even toppled power lines.

One person had to be rescued from a massive mudslide in Des Moines.

The rain is expected to continue through the weekend. A flood watch remains in effect for the entire western portion of the state through Sunday evening.
