Deployed soldier surprises third grade daughter

CORDOVA, Tenn. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - A soldier mother who has been deployed for six months teamed-up with her daughter's teacher for a homecoming surprise.

The entire classroom watched a video message from Army Sergeant First Class Quashaundria Williams, mother of third-grader Shaumya.

As the message played for the class, Sgt. Williams surprised her daughter in person, resulting in a homecoming to remember.

Sgt. Williams is serving a year in South Korea and was able to come home for a holiday break.

Inseparable since the reunion, the two have many plans for the holidays.
