Agents find liquid meth inside plastic fluid containers
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT. KECY)- Border Patrol agents arrested a man near San Clemente after discovering liquid methamphetamine inside several plastic car fluid containers.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said on December 11 agents pulled over a Nissan sedan traveling northbound on I-5. After agents questioned the 47-year-old driver, they determined he was a Mexican national with a valid B1/B2 Visitor Visa.
Agents said the man granted them permission the search the vehicle. During the search, agents noticed several suspicious transmission fluids and coolant containers in the trunk of his car.
CBP said after testing the content of the containers, agents determined they contained liquid methamphetamine.
According to CBP, they determined the methamphetamine weighed 34.61 pounds with an estimated value of $65,759.
The 47-year-old man was arrested and the methamphetamine was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
