Deadline for Toys for Tots approaching, donate now
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - There are only three days left to donate toys for MCAS Yuma Toys for Tots toy drive.
This is a nationwide philanthropic initiative organized by Marines. Thanks to word of mouth and the tremendous support from the community, three times as many families requested toys this year than last.
"Last year we had 430 families we helped, this year we have 1,200 families we're going to help," said Sgt. Roger Zuleta, the Toys for Tots coordinator.
The thousands of toys donated will help those in need throughout the Yuma and Imperial Valley County.
