YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KSWT, KECY) -The non-profit organization Border Kindness will be providing over 500 hot meals and over 700 presents to migrant children this holiday season.

For thousands of children Christmas is a day of hope and smiles, but for these migrant families having the opportunity to be with their families to forget about the daily struggle at the shelter is all they can ask for.

“I would like to write a letter to Santa asking him to take care of my family and help us get into the U.S," said 6-year-old Alexa Gonzales.

And for several other children having the warmth of their families is all they could wish for.

“My favorite part is being with the family and getting together," said 8-year-old Kenia Munoz.

That's why the local non-profit organization, Border Kindness, is making sure that every family gets the Christmas they deserve.

“They have helped us make dreams possible, achieve our goals, people are not just giving toys but they are putting smiles on their faces, they bring hope, and a sense of security that someone cares," said Yerenaye Llerenas, with Border Kindness.

If you are looking to help the organization ring in smiles on these children faces for Christmas you can head over to their website to donate three different ways or you can head over to their FaceBook page for more information on how you can help.
