3-car crash leaves 2 injured in Somerton

Somerton, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- Two people were transported to the hospital Tuesday after a three-vehicle collision.

The Somerton Cocopah Fire Department (SCFD) said the accident happened at the intersection of North Somerton Avenue and Madison Street.

Upon arrival, SCFD found a red Ford Focus with front end damage, a black Dodge Avenger with a side impact damage, and a white Chevrolet Silverado with damage to the front driver side.

Reports said the red sedan was traveling southbound on North Somerton Avenue when it struck the black sedan that was traveling on Madison Street.

The black sedan then hit the white pickup on Madison Street.

SCFD transported two people from the red sedan to the hospital with injuries.

The Somerton Police Department is investigating the accident.
