Unbearable drama at Lake Tahoe
Video captures bear breaking into SUV
KINGS BEACH, Calif. (KYMA/NBC News) - A family in Lake Tahoe got quite a scare Tuesday when a brown bear decided to let itself into their SUV.
Video shot from a window of their Kings Beach home shows the bear walk up to their vehicle, open the door, and let itself in. Unfortunately, the bear found it a whole lot harder to get out. Once the door closed, it was trapped.
The family spent several minutes debating what to do before a brave young man took action. You can see him dart outside and open the car door before hastily heading back inside.
The bear seem unaffected by its brief adventure. It hops out of the vehicle, and takes a quick stroll around the driveway before heading home.
Nobody got hurt, and the bear didn't cause any significant damage to the SUV.
