Police search for auto theft suspect in Calexico

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)-The Calexico Police Department (CPD),  is asking the public for help in identifying a man suspected of auto theft.

According to CPD, the man is involved in at least two auto thefts.

CPD said the suspect stole a Honda CR-V from the Calexico Food For Less parking lot earlier this month. The suspect then drove that car to the Imperial Valley Mall.

Police said the suspect dumped the car at the mall then stole another car from the mall’s parking lot.

The car stolen from the mall was a Honda Civic. Police said the suspect then drove the car into Mexico. CPD was able to attain a photo of the suspect with the help from Customs and Border Protection in Calexico.
