"Mexico is growing, it means that they're more accepting and it also means that here in Yuma, we're more accepting as well," said Doug Jennings, President of All Yuma Center.

Jennings, alongside José Antonio Larios Ponce, the Head Consul at Consulate of Mexico in Yuma, signed the papers Wednesday morning.

"It doesn't matter where you come from, we're all people and we're going to build a stronger community," Jennings said.

Local community leaders and Yuma residents attended the signing which was followed by cake and a toast.
