SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- Two people were transported to the hospital after colliding with each other on Monday.

The Somerton Cocopah Fire Department (SCFD) responded to a collision on Highway 95 and 5th Avenue in Gadsden where two people were injured.

Upon arrival, SCFD found a brown Ford F-150 pickup truck and a grey Ford Sean in the center turn lane of Highway 95.

SCFD said the sedan crossed into the opposing lane and struck the other vehicle head-on. The pickup was southbound and the sedan was northbound at the time of the collision.
