EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- The County of Imperial will be receiving $4.5 million check for a new public safety facility to improve the Palo Verde Water System in Seeley on Tuesday, November 26.

The Imperial Valley County said the board of supervisors joined by Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia, will kick off the celebration at 10:20 a.m. at the Board of Supervisors Chambers during the Imperial County Board of Supervisors' regular board meeting.

The investment comes from the California Department of Housing and Community Development's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

The CDBG Program partners with rural cities and counties to improve the lives of their low- and moderate-income residents through the creation and expansion of community and economic development opportunities in support of livable communities.
