Royal Botanical Garden gets regal in time for the holidays
Garden glistens with more than a million lights
LONDON, England (KYMA, KSWT, KECY/NBC News) - Britain's Royal Botanical Garden has a regal new look just in time for the holidays.
The garden is now adorned with more than a million lights.
"Christmas at Kew" boasts a number of twinkling installations running along mile-long trail. The displays include a wonderful waterfall, twinkling trees, and festive images projected on a Victorian glasshouse.
This is the seventh year tgardeners have adorned The Kew in holiday finery. Daire Basra, head of operations, says the decorations get better every year. She says it's the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit.
"I would hope that people take away a wonderful warm Christmas feeling from this. But as well as that I would really love them to take away a sense of the beauty of the gardens at winter, at night time, lit up. It's just a beautiful, magical place to be, especially at this time of year." says Basra.
The dazzling displays will remain in place through January 5, 2020.
