Wrecked truck discovered without driver

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - An early morning rollover leaves first reponders with more questions than answers.

Somerton Cocopah Fire Department responded to reports of a single-vehicle rollover just before four Wednesday morning at County 18th and Highway 95.

Firefighters arrived to find a heavily-damaged white Ford pickup in a lettuce field. They say it looks like the truck went off the highway and rolled at least once before coming to rest on its wheels in the field.

Crews carefully searched the area for the driver. They even used thermal imaging cameras to scan the field and make sure he or she wasn't lying unconscious or seriously injured in the dark. Firefighters found no one.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is now investigating the accident.
