Waive your library fines with food donations

Yuma, Ariz. (KECY, KSWT, KYMA)- The Yuma County Library advises the community to bring in cans of food to pay for your overdue fines Monday, December 2 through Saturday, December 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Yuma County Library District (YCLD) said one dollar in overdue fines will be cleared for every 10 oz., (or lager) can food that is donated.

Only labeled cans will be accepted (no glass jars, or dented, or expired cans). YCLD said the cans of food will be donated to the local food bank.

All library patrons are encouraged to bring cans for the food bank - no fines are required!
