HMHD annual health fair in Calexico

The Heffernan Memorial Healthcare District ( HMHD ), is encouraging the community to live a healthy lifestyle.

The health district held its 3rd Annual Health Fair at the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center in Calexico . Over twenty agencies gathered at the center to educate the community on their services.

Agencies like Ventania de Salud offered free glucose screenings for attendees. They also educated community members about how to prevent diseases like diabetes.

HMHD will be hosting a 5k Run and Walk Saturday morning. The 5k is free for the community. Registration starts at 7:00 am and the 5k begins at 8: 00am .
