City to plant 30 trees in local park
Tree planting ceremony comes to Hinojosa Park

A tree planting ceremony on November 16, in Brawley is the final piece of the city's goal of planting over 350 trees in the community. 

On Saturday the city is planting 30 trees in Hinojosa  park and the public is welcome to come and help as well as learn about the benefits of planting trees.

Brawley City Manager, Rosanna Bayon-Moore said the ceremony also continue their effort of improving the quality of life for residents. 

"This is a chance to reinvest in this park facility. Enhance the ADA work been done. And also bring back some of the features that are a part of the facilities' long term use. So we're committed to making our properties accessible and enjoyable for the public."

The project was a joint effort from various local agencies and funded by the Cal Fire Grant.
