Community invited for beautification project at Myron D. Witter Elementary

Community members cleaning school

Brawley residents are invited to help beautify the campus of Myron D. Witter Elementary on Saturday, November 16.

Whether it's painting or cleaning, or landscaping, everyone can lend a hand.

Brawley Elementary School District Trustee, Gil Rebollar said community-driven events like these help a student's confidence, knowing that their education is important and valued.

"People always talk bout how divided communities are, well it's events like this that give a chance for people to come together. Put away politics. Put away disagreements. Put away whatever to focus on these kids. To focus on our schools. And to make sure that Brawley is living up to its potential."

The beautification event starts from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
