Shelton, Shoop and Morris elected to city council

The final results are in for the Yuma City Council race.

Mike Shelton, Ema Lea Shoop and Chris Morris will begin their four year terms on the council January 2020.

Shelton, who has already served on the council received the most votes finishing with 48 percent of the vote, while one single vote separated Shoop and Morris who both finished with 43 percent of the vote.

Bradley, Jason 36% Morris, Chris 43% Scarborough, Robert 40% Shelton, Mike 48% Shoop , Ema Lea 43% Thomas, Edward 38% Write-ins 1% 7,999 people voted in this election, according to the City of Yuma.
