Halloween parade gives students spotlight to shine in their costumes

The Halloween season isn’t complete without students getting the opportunity to show off their spooky costumes.

Parents and residents in Calipatria were on hand as students at Fremont Primary showed displayed their costumes in an intimate Halloween parade.

Fremont Primary Principal, Leo Monroy said the annual event brings the community together and lets the students have fun and gets them in the festive mood for trick or treating later tonight.

” So any time that the parents get here kids are always super excited. So they get to show off, wave at everybody. Show off their costumes, laugh. And they just beam with pride on being successful and having their parents celebrate them and seeing the whole school clapping as they walk by. ”

The school plans on holding a Day of the Dead carnival Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m.
