New city manager for Fairfield announced

The new City Manager for Fairfield, Calif., has resigned to the Imperial County City Council Wednesday morning.

The City of Imperial said the resignation comes after Mayor Harry Price of Fairfield City Council announced Stefan Chatwin as the new manager for Fairfield.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your City Manager these past three years. My experiences here have been a highlight of my professional career. It is with mixed emotions that I tender my resignation as City Manager for the City of Imperial,” said Chatwin in his letter submitted to the City Council. “I love the City of Imperial. It has become my home. The people and families that make up this community are warm, engaged and hard-working.”
