“STAND DOWN” event seeks to help local veterans

The Western Arizona Stand Down event⁠ is a one-day event that brings together U.S. Military veterans and family members.

It’s a chance to connect each other through direct-support services and resources that help veterans gain and maintain housing, legal consulting, health, and wellness.

There are mental, physical, emotional, and occupational services being offered today. Attendees may even get a haircut! Lunch will be provided, but be quick⁠– the event ends at 6:00 p.m.

This event takes place at the Yuma County Fair Grounds on Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
