School supply drive declared a success

The Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center has declared its 2019 Driver for School Supplies a huge success.

This year the drive produced 5,284 backpacks for local students. Each contained everything a kid needs to start off the school year right, from markets to binders to pens, pencils, and glue sticks.

The Foundation wants to thank all the volunteers, businesses, and organizations throughout the community who helped raise funds, collect school supplies, and fill backpacks.

YRMC Foundation began the Drive for School Supplies in 1999. After 20-years the program’s goal remains the same: provide less fortunate children with the school supplies they need, but may not be able to afford.
