‘Hocus Pocus’ Sequel in the works at Disney+

After 26 years, the Sanderson sisters may be back to terrorize the children from Salem. A sequel to ‘Hocus Pocus’ is reportedly in the works.

Collider reports the writer and co-producer from Workaholics, Jen D’Angelo, is trying to bring back the original cast of Bette Midler as Winifred, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah, and Kathy Najimy as Mary.

Deadline.com said the 1993 film was written by Neil Cuthbert and Mick Garris, based on a story by Garris and Kirschner, and directed by zKenny Ortega.

It chronicles what happens when three villainous witches are inadvertently resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts.

Sources said the project is still in early development at Disney’s forthcoming streaming service but remains unclear whether they will be the main characters.
