The Imperial Valley Food Bank invited the community for a family fun filled day Saturday with an open house.

The event was free for residents. Giving them a behind the scene look of the new facility as well as offering free activities that included pumpkin paintings, face paintings and more.

Stefanie Campos, Imperial Valley Food Bank Development Assistant said that the event allows residents to see what their local food bank has in store for its community.

” Let them know what we’re open. We wanted to open our doors to give them a chance to take a tour and see what their food bank looks like. To see the scale of the food that we have. And to see the services we have to offer. ”
