Virgin Galactic shows off suits for space tourists

What will the best-dressed tourists be wearing when they blast off into space? Virgin Galactic showed off the answer to that question Wednesday.

Virgin teamed up with UnderArmour to produce the sleek, stylish jumpsuit for those with the nerve, not to mention the cash, to make the highly-anticipated trip to the stars.

Virgin Galactic will individually tailor each suit for each passenger. Each will include a name badge and national flag. The suits feature strategic padding at the elbows, knees, and feet for extra protection in zero-gravity environments. Plus, the fabric is specially designed to retain body heat.

The stellar jumpsuit is included in the price of your fare, but be warned space travel doesn’t come cheap. Tickets cost $250,000.

Virgin Galactics ‘ spacecraft is in the final stages of testing. It’s expected to start flying commerical missions next year.
