Police investigate shots fired at Chevron in Yuma

The Yuma Police Department are investigating an attempted murder that happened in the parking lot of the Chevron gas station on Avenue B and 32nd Street.

When officers arrived to the scene of the shooting just after 8:00 p.m. they found a 21-year-old man.

Witnesses at the gas station said they saw a person transported to a hospital by ambulance after hearing three gunshots go off around 8:15 p.m.

The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There is no word on any suspect at this time. The shooting is still under investigation.

The Yuma Police Department asks anyone with any information about this shooting to call Detective Francisco Saenz at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime if they wish to remain anonymous.
