Children go to hospital after taking prescription drugs
Four elementary school students went to the hospital after taking pills given to them by a classmate.
Phoenix police tell Azfamily.com a 6-year-old girl took some prescription drugs from a family member. Officers say she gave some pills to four other kids, all around the ages of 6 and 7, while they walked to school.
A school staff member found out about the drugs, took the children to the nurse’s office, and called 9-1-1.
The Phoenix Fire Department says the kids took heart medication. The drugs don’t appear to have made any of them sick.
