Crimes spike during the holiday season

As the holiday season quickly approaches, authorities want to bring attention to certain crimes that increase during this time.

The San Luis Police Department confirms that fraud, identity theft, and home burglaries. The two groups that are most affected and targeted by these crimes are the elderly and the youth.

” People are going to work, they’ve bought present putting them under the tree, they’re not at home and people are breaking in, ” said Chief Jessup .
