A British woman’s body was raided by organ traffickers after hospital death in Mexico

A British woman who died in Mexico on December 2018 was flown home without eyes and heart. The Epoch Times reports the family suspect organ trafficking.

Elaine Hines said she received her daughter’s body without a brain, heart, or eyes after dying in a hospital with diabetes complications. According to The Epoch Times (TET), Mexican officials said Amanda Gill’s cause of the death was visceral congestion

TET reports Elaine Hines said she may have considered donating her organs, but thinks Mexican criminals stole the organs under the belief that the family wouldn’t follow up on the case.

“Did they do it to her because she was foreign? Did they steal her organs for the illegal trade?” asked a family member in the report. “We just don’t know. We haven’t got the answers we wanted.”

Reports said her family also doesn’t understand why she died. “The hospital said she wouldn’t take fluids but the first thing you do is put them on a drip and that brings them around. It isn’t something that would have killed her,” said a family member.

TET said criminal gangs in Mexico have been accused of organ harvesting, a surgical procedure that removes organs or tissue for reuse.

Mexican cartels are known to engage in illegal activity other than drug trafficking, including kidnapping, organ pilfering, and exporting iron ore to China, TET reported.
