IVC hosts 3rd Annual World Mental Health Summit

Community members and students took part in the 3rd annual ” World Mental Health Day ” summit at Imperial Valley College.

The summit offered classes taught by mental health experts, and resources from local health agencies.

Scott Dudley, Imperial County Behavior Health Manager said the goal for the summit was to build a better community by offering support to those who might be suffering in mental health problems.

” But it’s everybody. And I think we all recognize that our mental health is paramount. Without our mental health, we don’t live great lives. We don’t have great families. We don’t succeed as human beings. And so we have to put the time in to do what we can make it better, ” said Dudley.

If you or someone you know is suffering from mental health problems you call the Imperial County Behavior Health Services at (442) 265-1526.
