BREAKING NEWS: California power shutoffs to end Saturday

Pacific Gas and Electric says it will restore power to 98-percent of the 2-million customers affected by a widespread intentional power cut.

The utility cut power as the combination of high winds and low humidity created the perfect conditions for wildfires.

Last November, a power line sparked the deadliest, most destructive wildfire in California history. PG&E turned off electricity as a proactive measure to prevent a similar fiery disaster.
