Yuma is one of the best places to retire, that is according to a new study from the website BestRetirements.com.

Yuma was ranked 16th out of the top 20 best places to retire in the Southwest.

Many residents say it is the availability of a wide range of RV resorts in Yuma that attract them to move to Yuma.

Terry Filszer , who has been a resident at the Westwind RV and Golf Resort for 7 years, says she enjoys the mobility and geographical location of the grounds especially when she wants to to travel to another state.

Deborah Lopez, who is the property manager of Westwind RV says the fact that Yuma is so centrally located, makes living in an RV a top option for people over the age of 55 and visit during the winter.

For this reason, many properties have been creating luxury RV resorts for people who want to enjoy multiple amenities all in one place.

Westwind RV and Golf Resort, located at 9797 E 32nd St, Yuma, AZ 85365, is one of those luxury RV resorts and offers residents of these RV and park model lots access to a fully-functional par-3 golf course and a large pool, among other activities and amenities.

According to Westwind’s website, the motor home resort is a community designed for winter visitors. Full hook-up sites are available daily, weekly, monthly, as well as annual RV site rentals.

An event ballroom is also located on-site which regularly features live bands.

Several other RV resorts that offer similar amenities are located in and around Yuma county including Shang-Ri La RV resort and Palms RV resort.
