Semi-truck flips over on Cole Road

A section of Cole Road was shut down Tuesday morning after a semi-truck flipped over on its side on W Van de Graaff Avenue in Calexico .

According to the Calexico Police Department, no injuries were reported.
Beach and Son Towing said the accident happened around 8 a.m.

The truck driver works for BG Trucking and was making a left turn on Cole Road when the truck flipped over on its side.

According to witnesses, the driver was not speeding. When the truck flipped over, witnesses said that people ran to the truck to help the driver get out.

It took a total of three tow trucks to lift the semi-truck.

Beach and Son Towing said the huge truck weighs anywhere from 50,000 to 80,000 pounds .

The truck was loaded, which towers said added to the challenge of lifting the truck up.

Police reopened Cole Road at 9:40 a.m.
