More women accuse former Arizona trooper of sexual harrassment

Seven more women come forward to accuse a former Arizona state trooper of sexual misconduct and harassment.

Tremaine Jackson was a 13-year veteran of the Department of Public Safety. Most recently he rode motorcycle patrols in the Phoenix area. Investigators say Jackson solicited sexual favors from female drivers after pulling them over. They also accuse him of falsifying records to hide his actions.

The first complaints surfaced in May. Accusations ranged from inappropriate comments to actual physical contact. DPS initially suspended Jackson before firing him in June.

Eight victims were discovered during the opening phase of the investigation. Another seven came forward this week, bringing the total number of women accusing the ex-trooper to 15.

DPS believes more potential victims may be out there. It continues to urge anyone who may have had an inappropriate encounter with Jackson to come forward. They can contact detectives at 602-223-2389, or at azdps.gov/Jackson.

Jackson remains behind bars on $150,000 bond. He faces 61 charges including sexual abuse, attempted sexual abuse, sexual extortion, kidnapping , tampering with public records, and forgery.
