Arizona man pleads guilty to voter fraud

An elderly Arizona man will spend two years on probation after admitting he voted twice in the 2016 General Election.

A Tucson judge also revoked 80-year-old Richard John Greenfield’s right to vote as part of his punishment.

Greenfield pleaded guilty in August to one felony count of attempted illegal voting. He admits to voting once in Pima County, Arizona, and then voting again in Washoe County, Nevada.

The registered Republican will have to complete at least 100-hours of community service while on probation. He’ll also pay a $2,500 fine. His voting rights will be restored upon completion of his sentence.

The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office first identified the problem with Greenfield’s ballots in 2018. It then referred the case to the Attorney General’s Office for investigation.
