Imperial County Air Pollution Control district holds inaugural calendar contest

Imperial County elementary school students can have their drawings be part of a calendar next year.

In honor of “Clean Air Day”, the Imperial Air Pollution Control District is holding its first annual clean air day calendar contest.

Gil Rebollar of the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District, said the contest asks students the importance of clean air to them as well as what the community can do to improve the air quality in the Imperial Valley.

“Mainly to inspire, and to bring awareness to the air quality issues. But to inspire the students and to take part. That their voice matters and their voice will be heard by those here in Imperial County Air Pollution Control District and everyone else throughout the Imperial Valley. “

The deadline to enter the calendar contest is November 22.
