Several homes in the Foothills evacuated due to gas leak

Rural Metro received reports in reference to a gas leak on the corner of El Camino Del Diablo and 53rd Street. Nearby homes have been evacuated until the line can be secured on Wednesday.

According to Rural Metro, firefighters are on standby at the scene in case something happens.

Southwest Gas has been called to secure the line. Stay with News 11 as we gather more information.
