Arizona boy killed in attempted exorcism
Investigators say a six-year-old Arizona boy was killed in an attempted exorcism. Now his father faces a first-degree murder charge.
Investigators on the Pascua Yaqui Tribe’s reservation say they found Pablo Martinez’s young son on September 26th . They say the boy was naked on a bed with burns covering 15-percent of his body.
Court documents show Martinez told officers he thought something evil was inside his son and wanted to cast it out.
Investigators say the father admitted to forcing his son to drink scalding water out of a bathtub tap, and to holding the boy under the water for as long as ten-minutes.
The little boy died at a Tucson area hospital.
Martinez’s defense attorney is not commenting on the case.
